When I charge my mobile phone at home, it is either ion a small table in the lounge, or the bedside table in our bedroom. Either way, it has often slipped off, due mainly to my clumsiness or the dog brushing past with the tail of a crocodile. So, I resorted to charging it on the floor in the lounge (it can’t fall off the floor, right?) but that meant my dog used it for traction as he crawled under said table to go to his lookout at the window.

Oh, how special it is... this steel constructed stand, with a heavy base and smart sweeping looks holds virtually any phone or hand held device not only whilst charging, but actually allowing operation of your device without slipping or flying around. I am sure you will think it must have a really firm set of sprung jaws and foam to grip this so tightly, but wait, it has no jaws, no springs and yet it works, and it works very well indeed.

An adhesive pad made of a magical material awaits a gentle press of your device, be it mobile phone, calculator or even iPad (yes, it holds the impressively large and not exactly light iPad firmly and safely too!) and that’s it, it is attached to the stand with such force it allows use of your buttons to phone, play games, text or just read. A ball and socket gives full adjustment, allowing tilt in any direction to avoid reflections for example, and a super swift change of orientation for typing or watching films. The adhesive pad system means that virtually anything can be held, and changing holder inserts for different devices is a thing of the past. No residue is left when returning your device to your hand, as a simple “peel off” motion removes it with ease.

As dust will inevitably attach to the pad after repeated use, the stickiness of the adhesive will become less effective. So, can you get replacement sticky pads? Er, no, you just unclip from the holder, take it to a tap and swill it down, then leave to dry. Normal service is resumed, and it is once again an essential part of your life. Get one for the home, and one for the office, and increase your productivity, as you can use this whilst it is charging, rather than unplugging then replacing each time you need to call, answer or text.
